Hardwood Floor Cleaning
This picture is an engineered hardwood that has the hand scraped look. It is really partial board with a thin vanier or wood-grain look. The dogs had scratched this floor and because it is an engineered product it cannot be sanded and refinished, only replaced at a significant cost. To come up with a reasonable cost solution for my customer I decided to thoroughly clean the floor. Then I stained the scratches with a black stain to help blend it in and followed up with putting 3 coats of water biased urethane to give it a hard, durable shine.
Try to zoom in to the finished photo. You can still see the scratches but at least they are not jumping out causing your eye to go right to them.
This floor was about 1500 square feet, the entire main floor. My Customer had an estimate to replace it at $35,000.00. I was able to do this is one day and for less that $700.00.
